After Frank won the UFC heavy weight title, there was much speculation as to what Frank has been up to prior to his latest fight. The story starts in September 2004. Unfortunately, in September of 2004, Frank was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle on his way to work out and being hit by a car going over 50 MPH without putting on the brakes sidelined him for over a year. In the accident Frank sustained a massive leg injury. In fact, most people would have a tough time walking properly, perhaps died, or even lost a limb, let alone rehabbing and getting ready to get back into the Octagon after such a devastating accident.
I was impressed with Eric Schafer's ability to weather the onslaught of Houston Alexander, Eric did a great job seizing the opportunity to finish Houston. His submission attempts were on Houston and Eric has one of the best head an arm chokes from the top.
I'm also impressed with Clay Quida's intensity and tenacity with his take down's. It's not a complex game plan but consistently works. And to defeat Mac Danzig who I think is one of the most technical guys in the 155lbs division, only sulfides that move.
Josh Neer is constantly improving his game and the fight with Diaz was incredible. Nate's ground game is wild. Some critics might think he is to aggressive and leaves openings for his opponents. I applaud any fighter who is always looking to finish the fight, I can't stand to watch a fight who plays the points game and never attempting to go for the finish.
