"The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir" cast member and MMAjunkie.com blogger Ryan Bader returns with his inside look at episodes No. 11 and 12 of the reality series.
This season of "TUF" is now in the books, and only the show's live finale remains. Ryan Bader was one of 32 fighters originally selected for the show, and he's now one of only two light-heavyweight finalists.
In his latest blog, Bader discusses his semifinal fight with Eliot Marshall. (And yes, he was disappointed with the performance, as well.) Find out what MMAjunkie.com's resident "TUF" blogger has to say about his and the other fights, next week's finale, and his game plan to defeat a very tough Vinny Magalhaes.
A seemingly inconspicuous MySpace bulletin UFC welterweight Diego Sanchez recently posted has caused a bit of stir and has many fans asking: Is "Nightmare" really dropping to the lightweight division?
"I'm training hard and will be dropping down to fight at 155 (pounds)," Sanchez wrote in the bulletin. "I will keep you all posted."
When reached today by MMAjunkie.com, Sanchez's manager, Jeff Clark of NCFC Fight Management, said that the 26-year-old fighter is open to competing at 170 or 155 pounds -- and that ultimately, it's the UFC's decision to make.
In the fourth part of "The Anatomy of an MMA Show" series, Xtreme Fighting Championships President John Prisco discusses final preparations on the eve of Friday's big show in Tampa.
Find out what kind of last-minute headaches face nearly every promotion and promoter.
Also, following his open invitation from the third part of the series, Prisco now answers a handful of questions he received from MMAjunkie.com readers. Is the XFC worried about the UFC invading its turf? How do you deal with fighters and agents who think they're not getting a fair shake? And does MMA's questionable past still make it hard to find corporate sponsorships today?
