Luke started martial arts as a teenager after seeing Enter the Dragon starring Bruce Lee. He began training at Ray Longo’s International Martial Arts Academy in the year 2000. After a couple of years of dedicated practice, Luke was invited by Ray to compete as an amateur in his kickboxing promotion Vengeance at the Vanderbuilt. Luke was introduced as a sparring partner to UFC veteran Matt Serra and soon after began training at the Serra Brother’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy.
