Kickdown 48 "Fight On" made history on Staurday March 1st with the first ever female professional main event in Colorado history.
The main event competitors Louise Johnson and Shallie Shannon did not disappoint as the fighters circled each other briefly before a leg kick by Shannon and a quick takedown landed her in Johnson's guard. Johnson quickly moved to secure an armbar but quickly let it go and swept her opponent and gained full mount. From there Johnson showed the killer instinct and unleashed a nice ground and pound attack that caused the referee to stop the fight 56 seconds into the round.
On the undercard Adam Martinez made quick work of Danny Simpson as he submitted him in 50 seconds of the first round via rear naked choke. Joe Kaderli was awarded a TKO win when Adam Johnson could not answer the bell at the start of the third round.
After dropping his opponent with twice with some devastating striking Louis Lloyd finished off his opponent Joe Lake at the end of the first round.
